Remember that your perception of the world is a reflection of your state of consciousness. You are not separate from it, and there is not an objective world out there. Every moment, your consciousness creates the world you inhabit. – Eckhart Tolle

The experiences of those who have lived through and healed from serious illnesses teach us that if we choose to open up to the truth of what we are learning from our suffering and change our lives accordingly, even seemingly hopeless circumstances can bear rich fruit in our lives. We learn to accept our experience and integrate essential self-care in our daily lives. We learn about our body and how it works and what it needs to be well. We learn to recognize the impact that emotional stress has on our health. We clear our bodies and minds of the negative impacts of past trauma, turning those experiences into wellsprings of wisdom. We learn new skills in communicating our needs to others as we practice asking for help. For some of us, these are all brand new skills that not only help us to survive, but also enrich our lives forever.” – From Recovery from Candida Related Complex, An Opportunity for Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Growth by Tarilee Cornish
The process of self-healing is the privilege of every human being. Self-healing is not a miracle, nor is it a question of being able to do something that most people can’t. Self-healing is a process that occurs through the relationship between the physical and the infinite power of the soul. It is a contract, a union – that is the science of Kundalini Yoga. – Yogi Bhajan
Affirmation for the New Year: I am a creator. I am here to create a safe and bountiful life. By vibration and frequency, I choose to be healthy, productive and wise. I have great gratitude for my abilities to recognize that thoughts produce frequencies, and I can create a frequency that supports the safe, probable world I live in by directing my energy toward what I want to experience. I walk through life with a clear, conscious intent to weave my energy, like a gossamer thread in a large beautiful tapestry, throughout the world I encounter. I fully realize that a multitude of probabilities and belief systems exist side by side with mine. And in mine I am safe. In mine I am guided. In mine I love and trust my body. In mine I know my cells are precognitive and that I am the co-creator of the multi-verse. I know I am a valuable being. I know I will receive the impulses, the signs, the signals and the guidance that I always require to always be at the right place at the right time, for my highest good and that of all around me. All this I know and for that I am most grateful. – From Path of Empowerment, Pleiadian Wisdom for a World in Chaos, Creative Solutions for Changing Beliefs, Reclaiming Your Power, and Creating a World of Unlimited Possibilities by Barbara Marciniak
A sacred illness is one that educates and alters us from the inside out, providing experiences and therefore knowledge that we could not possibly achieve in any other way. – Author Unknown

Here is one of my favorite quotes.
This quote always comforts me…
peaceful and inspiring site/blog.
WHEN YOU TOUCH ONE THING
with deep awareness,
you touch everything.
– Thich Nhat Hanh
Thanks, Jerry. That’s a great quote, a keeper for sure. I hope you come back and visit again sometime.
“For everything lost something is gained, and for everything gained something is lost.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’m so glad I found this quite, peaceful site. Thanks!
This website exudes peace – thank you.
Melynn,
As others have said, your site is beautiful and peaceful and I happened upon it when a friend sent me the “dog dance” on your site and then I wondered what the site was all about and I became immersed in these quotes and your pottery. Like others, the dog dance made me cry, released a floodgate of tears.
i enjoy reading quotes and I enjoyed yours for this week from Eckhardt Tolle so I will pass on a couple of my favorites:
“It never grew easy, but I grew peaceful….” Anne Dillard
“In spite of illness, in spite of the archenemy sorrow, one can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things and happy in small ways.”
Edith Wharton
I will continue to visit your site. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, Tracy…thanks so much for visiting and leaving some of your favorite quotes on my blog. I especially love the last one by Edith Wharton and will send it on to a friend who is struggling with cancer. BTW, I went to your website and fell in love with your silk paintings…extraordinary! Thanks again for stopping by.
Those quotes were very deep and introspective and very thought provoking. I liked how the different religions appeared to seemlessly glide unto the next quote slightly meshing while wholly contradicting what the prior quote had said. Here are a few profound quotes that I particularly like:
“Take your burdens, and troubles, and losses, and wrongs, if come they must and will, as your opportunities, knowing that God has girded you for greater things than these.”
-Horace Bushnell
“Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by an encounter with another human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light. ” -Albert Schweitzer
“We learn to fly, not by becoming fearless, but by the daily practice of courage.”
-Author Unknown
Hi Karen, thanks for visiting and much thanks for leaving these wonderful quotes on my blog. They are surely ones I would have picked out as favorites if I had come across them before. I’m amazed how well they fit into the collection I’ve gathered over the years.
“If It Is To Be, It Is Up To Me”
Hi Melynn,
Don’t know who this quote is by but I have always enjoyed it. “The Dog Dance” was sent to me earlier today and I really enjoyed it. I just lost my dog and she was one of my best friends, my companion, and shadow. She always rode horses with me and I will miss her for a very long time. She was always my protector, especially after a very traumatic injury I suffered four years ago.
Thank you for such a moving video and very peaceful site. I will return and visit.
Dixie
Hi Dixie, that’s a great quote! Thanks for visiting, and I hope you come back soon.
“What is not love is a cry for love.”
ACIM
Just wanted to drop you a line to say, I enjoy reading your site. I thought about starting a blog myself but don’t have the time.
Oh well maybe one day….
