These are absolutely stunning, Melynn. I think they look beautiful together and can imagine a dinner party with flowers in the vase and wine served from the bottle. (You could serve that ice cream for dessert.)

This is really lovely and you’ve moved me again!

I have no real conception of how it must feel to have so much space. In the UK there must be counties smaller than that and in Italy there is actually a State smaller than that!! (Actually, it is a country in its own right with its own government and laws.)

And, I’m thinking that the space and climate reflect on the characters of the population: open and generous. Great post.

Hi Julia, this was a fun project for sure. Some of the other designs were very creative. One person made a pitcher, another a free form sculpture with the trapezoids placed at all different angles, and another one I really liked was a tall vase which looked like my planter but with a second layer on top turned upside down.

i love this one–fun to see how you used the shape. What other ways did people interpret the assignment? i bet that’s fun to see as well, different people’s different takes on the idea.
