I got the idea of making garden stakes from my fellow blogging friend, kt. She is so creative and makes such beautiful things, it’s hard not to get inspired when visiting her site. I decided to go with inspirational words for my stakes such as “Grow”, “Hope” and “Peace”, instead of calling out specific vegetables and herbs. That way, if someone wanted to buy one at one of my craft fairs, they wouldn’t feel obligated to purchase a whole set. The stakes look quite nice tucked into a garden of flowers or vegetables, or even in an indoor planter. I like quotes and things with inspirational words on them – they are like little prayers sent out into the universe that uplift my mood and add a positive thought to my day.

Hey Melynn,
I love your idea of using inspirational words and your stakes match the beauty of the words, ahhh such beauty in the garden.
Katy
P.S. thank you for the words of praise and the “inspired when visiting her site” that goes both ways:)
Wow, they’re really pretty! I love the design and how the glaze changes colour in the grooves.
What a beautiful idea! I think just looking at one of these stakes would give me a word (message) for a quiet meditation when I am in my garden. You are spreading peace!
bella! love the softness of the color.
I’m not big on things having labels – not even T shirts with slogans or logos, but this is a lovely idea. You’ve also used my favourite colour.
Oh those are nice, love that idea:)
Hey can I steal this idea also? Looks like a great one.
Walter
Hi Walter, I can’t take credit for the idea, but I’m sure kt wouldn’t mind if you wanted to make some of these. Have fun!
The flowing pattern draws me in–beautiful!
